WordPress Developer – Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to design, develop, and maintain dynamic, user-friendly, and high-performance websites. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with WordPress themes, plugins, custom development, and website optimization.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites (themes, plugins, templates).

Convert design files (Figma/PSD/HTML) into fully functional WordPress pages.

Create custom post types, taxonomies, hooks, and shortcodes.

Customize WooCommerce for e-commerce projects (optional based on job).

Optimize website performance, speed, and security.

Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support.

Integrate third-party APIs and plugins.

Ensure mobile-responsive, SEO-friendly development.

Manage website migration, backups, hosting, and deployment.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.

Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.

Hands-on experience with Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg, or similar page builders.

Knowledge of MySQL, REST APIs, Git, and debugging tools.

Familiarity with SEO best practices, caching, and performance optimization.

Understanding of website security and WordPress hardening practices.

Ability to work independently and manage projects from start to finish.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

Experience with WooCommerce, LMS, Membership sites.

Knowledge of Laravel, React, or other frameworks.

Understanding of CI/CD, Docker, or cloud hosting.

Graphic or UI/UX design experience is a plus.
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred, not mandatory).
