JunkMoveHelp Privacy Notice
Version 2026-09-16.2-rc · Effective 2026-09-20
What this notice covers
This notice covers information handled through JunkMoveHelp customer, provider, marketplace, provider-invoice, support, and administrative workflows. It works together with the Marketplace Terms and Service Provider Agreement.
JunkMoveHelp is an adult marketplace. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, submit a request, or register as a service provider.
The initial launch is limited to South Carolina and, within South Carolina, only to local markets that JunkMoveHelp has explicitly activated. A location page or account does not itself confirm that service is available.
Information the marketplace handles
- Account information: name, email address, login credentials, role, profile image, settings, and account status.
- Customer request information: pickup description, category, address and map coordinates, access conditions, requested timing, photos, and request status.
- Provider information: company identity, contact details, service area, capabilities, profile content, and verification documents or review status.
- Marketplace activity: proposals, messages, selections, orders, work-status events, reviews, cancellations, disputes, support requests, and related audit history.
- Provider-invoice records: accepted proposal amount, 10% platform fee, issue and due dates, invoice status, processor references, reconciliation records, and payment-event history. Full payment-card credentials are entered with the payment processor and are not intended to be stored by JunkMoveHelp.
- Technical and security information: cookies and session data, IP address, browser or device information, request logs, authentication events, error records, and security or abuse signals.
How information is used
- Create and secure customer and provider accounts.
- Publish appropriate request or profile information and match marketplace participants to relevant work.
- Support proposals, customer selection, provider acceptance, scheduling, work progress, reviews, support, cancellations, disputes, provider invoices, and reconciliation.
- Prevent abuse, enforce access controls, investigate incidents, maintain audit records, and comply with applicable obligations.
- Operate, troubleshoot, test, and improve the marketplace using appropriately limited access.
When information is disclosed
Information may be made available to the customer or authorized provider involved in a marketplace request; to authorized support or operations personnel who need it to perform their duties; or when reasonably necessary for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, or rights-protection purposes.
The current Lane A launch uses Hostinger for infrastructure, Stripe for Service Provider platform-invoice payment processing, Postmark for transactional email, U.S. Census Bureau or USPS geographic reference, and Google Maps Platform on the customer request page. That page loads Google Maps for address suggestions and map display; Google may receive browser information and pickup-address text as the customer types. Customers can complete the address manually without choosing a suggestion. Analytics, advertising, behavioral tracking, CAPTCHA, SMS, CRM, background-check, customer project-payment, and third-party identity-verification vendors or functions are not approved for launch.
Addresses, coordinates, photos, and documents
Pickup location and media can reveal private property details. Customers should upload only information needed to explain the authorized job and should remove unrelated people, documents, license plates, access codes, or other sensitive details. Provider verification documents are intended for restricted review and must not be displayed as public profile media.
Provider-invoice payment processing
Customers and Service Providers arrange payment for project work directly; JunkMoveHelp does not receive, hold, transfer, or pay out those project funds. When a Service Provider pays JunkMoveHelp’s 10% platform-fee invoice, card details are entered through Stripe-hosted checkout. JunkMoveHelp retains the invoice amount and status, Stripe references, signed payment-event result, and accounting or reconciliation history needed to operate and support that invoice. Provider-invoice processing is enabled only behind the bounded Lane A production controls. Public registration remains closed until separately authorized.
Cookies and browser storage
JunkMoveHelp uses essential cookies and temporary browser storage for sign-in, account security, anonymous photo-upload protection, request confirmation, and prevention of duplicate marketplace actions. Disabling essential browser state may prevent these features from working.
JunkMoveHelp does not use analytics, advertising, behavioral-tracking, cross-site marketing pixels, or advertising identifiers at launch. Any future optional measurement or advertising technology requires a separate review, notice update, and any legally required user choice before activation.
Retention and security
JunkMoveHelp uses role and ownership checks, private media controls, audit records, and restricted operational tools to reduce unauthorized access. No system can guarantee absolute security.
The approved operational schedule deletes unverified accounts after 7 days and unattached provisional request photos after 24 hours. Deactivated profile data is targeted for deletion or anonymization within 30 days after dependencies clear; unaccepted request location and media data is retained for 90 days after closure; fulfilled-request, proposal, message, schedule, and ordinary nonfinancial exception records are generally retained for 3 years; security and notification records for 12 months; and routine backups expire on a 35-day rolling schedule.
Orders, payment metadata, refunds, accounting audit, cancellations, disputes, and financial exception evidence are retained for 7 years after the applicable tax-year or final-resolution trigger. Legal holds, open payments, disputes, safety or fraud investigations, and longer applicable requirements pause ordinary disposition only for affected records. At expiry, eligible data is securely deleted or irreversibly anonymized; restored backups must not permanently resurrect expired data.
Account choices and privacy requests
Account holders can correct available profile and settings information and may request account deactivation. Requests to access, correct, delete, appeal, or otherwise review personal information use the tracked process below. JunkMoveHelp targets acknowledgment within 5 business days and completion within 30 calendar days; any shorter applicable-law deadline controls. Some transaction, dispute, security, backup, or audit information may need to be retained under an approved legal or business rule.

Changes to this notice
This notice displays its version and effective date when approved for production. Material changes require review, a newly dated version, an archived prior version, and notice through an appropriate account or contact channel before the change takes effect when required. A change will not retroactively authorize an incompatible use of information. Previous approved versions may be requested from the privacy contact.
Security incidents
Michael Daniels is JunkMoveHelp’s incident-response owner and currently its only employee. The response process requires prompt containment, evidence preservation, scope and harm assessment, escalation to counsel and affected service providers, legally required notices, verified recovery, and documented follow-up. Immediate physical danger should be reported to 911 or the appropriate emergency service.
